Interview

We have arranged to use the sports hall tommorow after school to film some gymnastics for our documentary. One of our classmates, Sam Sturt, has agreed to help us out with performing some of his gymnastics, after that we will ask him some questions about his views on the olympics and his chances in 2012.

Olympic winning bid
This is a video of the olympic winning bid that we found, we will edit this to put in the parts we need for our documentary. This will be used to show the precise moment in which London won the bid, showing the joy of the British and disappointment in the French.

Ancillary Pictures
As part of our supporting piece we have taken a picture of Sam for a poster we are creating for the Olympic doccumentary. The poster will have some brief information on the programme, when it's on and what channel too. The aim of the poster is to create awareness for our documentary and these are some of the pictures Lawrence took and edited to create more of an effect.

Ancillary piece
We have started to work on an ancillary piece, we are making a newspaper article and a poster for it. We came up with some questions to ask Sam about the olympics and his potential to compete in the olympics. Sam is a Gymnast and we are portraying him as a potential competitor for Great Britain in the London 2012 olympics.
Here is an example of one of our questions and his answer to this:
The interviewer looked surprised. So you don’t think we can live up to the expectation?
“No, it will be hard but not impossible”Do you see yourself competing when it comes to 2012?“I feel that as I have already achieved world champion at Sports Acrobatics and if I continue to train at a high level then there is no reason why I should think that I won’t be competing by the time 2012 comes around.

Filming in London
Me and my group partner went into London to film all sorts of sights such as the olympic stadium building site and public transport. We filmed a lot of footage on this day and will end up using a large amount in our final project.
